My Background
As a child, my favorite pasttime was creating art and objects out of the natural clay deposits along the creek near my home. It was all about the sparkle of the sun on the water and the sound of the air through the trees. This led me to study for my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in college, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a specialization in Sculpture.

I use many different mediums, such as clay, birch, stone and glass. I believe that mixing these mediums creates more interest in the final result and I find that exciting. I'm always searching to delight the viewer with a fresh perspective. Nature uses many textural palettes;
I try to do the same.

Sand and sea. Light and air. Lakes and clouds.
Being in nature is at the heart of it all for me.
I don't believe that one can necessarily improve upon nature so I like to present it from a different perspective. When I create, it brings me closest to my highest self, feeling at one with all. It's my hope that this connection shines through in my work.
